Aficio™SP 1200S/SP 1200SF – Ricoh unveils a compact and multifunctional desktop solution for small business users

Amstelveen, The Netherlands, July 2011 – Ricoh Europe (Netherlands) B.V. today launched the AficioTM SP 1200S/SP 1200SF. Convenient and cost-effective, these all-in-one desktop units print, copy, scan and fax (SP 1200SF). They also offer high productivity and print resolution, along with easy operation and maintenance due to features such as the easily replaceable 2- in-1 toner.

The SP 1200S/SP 1200SF print and copy at up to 22 B/W pages per minute. Productivity and usability is further supported by the 250-sheet paper capacity and a 35-sheet automatic document feeder. Installation is simple and there is full-front access with a minimum number of parts, making maintenance quick and easy.

Print resolution of HQ 1200 (2,400 x 600 dpi) gives users the power to produce professional and attractive documents. They can also scan to OCR and send documents in high resolution, professional colour directly to a PC or email, quickly and easily.

The advanced fax capability (SP 1200SF) incorporates dual access functionality. This means faxes can be scanned into the machine’s memory for sending, even when the unit is busy sending or receiving faxes, resulting in time savings. The Super G3 modem allows for fast faxing, with eight one touch dials, 200 speed dials and automatic redial.

A further useful feature is ID card copy, which allows both sides of an ID document, such as a passport or driving license, to be scanned or copied onto one side of a sheet of paper in a single process. This feature will be particularly useful in saving time for people who frequently need to make copies of ID documents, like recruitment and travel agencies and HR professionals.

Unlike most desktop laser printers, the SP 1200S/SP 1200SF have a separate toner and drum, meaning only one needs to be replaced if it runs out. This makes replacement faster, saves time and money, and results in less waste from un-necessary replacements.
