Amstelveen, The Netherlands, February 2009 - Ricoh Europe (Netherlands) B. V. today announced the launch of the Aficio™SP C231SF/SP C232SF, two new all-round models. They provide fully-featured A4 colour copying, printing, scanning and business faxing. At 20 pages per minute, the SP C231SF and SP C232SF guarantee fast-paced office productivity. Being user-friendly and offering the latest in security, these devices answer the needs of demanding small offices or workgroups.

The SP C231SF/SP C232SF handle office jobs swiftly. In 48 seconds the systems are ready for business, and the first print is out in less than 30 seconds. With a maximum paper capacity of 751 sheets, the SP C231SF/SP C232SF deliver uninterrupted productivity. Maintenance is minimal: the all-in-one toner can be replaced single-handedly. The 35-sheet Automatic Document Feeder allows users to quickly take care of any large copy, scan or fax job. Moreover, the systems' dual access capability allows them to print and scan at the same time.

Due to their small footprint, the Aficio™SP C231SF/SP C232SF are ideal for placement near the user's desktop. As

supplies and paper can easily be handled from the front of the device, no valuable office space is lost. Designed for everyday use, these devices offer easy operation via a straightforward control panel. The innovative scanner slide mechanism further improves general usability and accessibility.

Equipped to streamline the user's workflow, the Aficio™SP C231SF/SP C232SF are easily integrated in specific network environments. With advanced distribution possibilities such as scan to e-mail, scan to folder and scan to FTP, users can quickly deliver their documents on demand. Programming the settings they use frequently in Page Manager makes push scan functions even easier and faster. The possibility to lock prints and restrict use of the machine protects confidential information.

The SP C231SF/SP C232SF's Super G3 fax allows users to transmit faxes quickly over regular telephone lines. Alternatively, they can fax directly from a PC and save paper. The standard duplex unit further reduces paper consumption. Also contributing to the devices' low Total Cost of Ownership is their energy-efficiency. The short warm-up times result in frequent use of the energy saver mode, in which the SP C232SF consumes only 25 W. The SP C231SF then uses as little as 20 W.
